The valve seat is composed of two symmetrical rubber ferrules on both sides of the valve body. It is made of natural rubber and has a metal core inside to help keep its shape from deformation. The elasticity of the ferrule ensures that they are permanently connected together to prevent solid accumulation between the two parts of the valve body.
